The Living Tribute Trail

Trowbridge Town in Bloom invited Purple Salute to join them on 16th October for a Ceremonial Tree Planting of 4 of our Living Tribute Trees. Naturally we were absolutely delighted that Trowbridge is not only honouring the fallen of this country but also honoring those who continue to serve, in particular using our Living Tribute Trail Trees to represent the Lives and Courage of our Military and Emergency Service people.

The Trees were planted at Trowbridge War Memorial combining the Memory of the those who have died whilst serving this country, with remembering with Pride those who continue to do so. Portland Stone plaques were placed beside each tree dedicated to our Police, Fire, Ambulance and Military Services.

We are delighted to introduce Sara Davies as our representative in Nottingham. Sara is a hard working Staff Nurse who combines long hours with supporting our Military and Emergency Services. There will be photo's of all of the group as soon as I can persuade them they are all handsome (or beautiful) whichever they want!!
Welcome aboard Sara - and thank you to everyone who has supported her in helping Purple Salute.

WE SALUTE YOU!

Race across the West.

17th June 2009
Tim Richardson is cycling across 1/3rd of America, on a bike, in three days. WOW!! AND our injured in Selly Oak may well benefit from this. What a hero. One of our boaters, Mark, Tim's brother has kept us informed of Tim's progress over the last few weeks. Mark himself is heavily involved and the commitment is awesome. Good Luck to all the guys - we are thinking of you and sending our support. If you want to support Team Brazen click on the link and get reading - and maybe take up cycling!!

Tim - and all of Team Brazen- In the time honored manner of Purple Salute
WE SALUTE YOU!!

UPDATE

Tim and his team nearly made it - sadly injury forced a withdrawal so close to the end. Non the less it was an outstanding effort and the injury was suffered in silence for many miles in an attempt to put mind over matter. Well Done Team. An amazing effort.

Our Pride in you always!
